A second line of high quality wine was later devised. For this the traditional manner of ageing called for the wine to rest in Slavonia oak casks. The rustic, hard-working, land-rooted Tuscan people whose tradition and knowledge of wine-making still survives in our modern time winery, have also contributed in the name giving of the wine their vernacular that its name comes “LE PATURNIE” meaning to have a fit of temper to blow one’s top.
